House in Nishiogikubo

「内」と「外」の連続性。杉並の閑静な住宅街に佇む個人邸宅。玄関・書斎・リビングダイニング・和室と、用途毎にボリュームを与え、それぞれを穏やかな間仕切りで適度な距離を保ちながら繋いでいく平面計画。また、外壁の意匠である杉板の水平ラインが内部まで続くことで、それぞれのボリュームに一定のリズムと連続性を持たせている。
Connectivity between “inside” and “outside”. A private home resides along a row of Japanese cedar trees in a quiet residential street. Entrance, study, living, dining, and Japanese room are everyday spaces with gentle partitions at sufficient distances that maintain spatial connection throughout the plan. Also, the exterior façade of Japanese cedar has horizontal lines that extend into the interior, creating a specific rhythm and connectiveness within the volume.
